Buttonwoods Museum kicks off its 2015 Festival of Trees the day after Thanksgiving.

Opening night features a buffet of local restaurants’ signature dishes and entertainment by the Haverhill High School Chorus. Doors are open between 6 and 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27, at the museum, 240 Water St., Haverhill.

“The Opening Gala allows visitors to be the first to see which trees were awarded prizes and to get the first chance at bidding on their favorite tree or wreath,” a statement said.

Opening night admission is $20. During the festival, which ends the second weekend in December, local businesses and individuals donate a tree or wreath and its decorations to be raffled off. Proceeds benefit the Buttonwoods Museum.

Festival of Trees closes Saturday, Dec. 12, with a visit by Santa Claus, snacks, an 18th century cooking demonstration, holiday crafts and an arts demonstration. Doors open at 10 a.m.
