The body of an unidentified woman was pulled from Haverhill’s Little River near Lafayette Square Friday morning, WHAV has confirmed.

According to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, authorities were alerted to the scene by a passerby who spotted the body in the area where the river crosses under Winter Street and called 911 at 8:05 a.m. Foul play is not suspected, said spokeswoman Carrie Kimball-Monahan.
