Barbara J. (Hefferan) Bartlett, 90, Worked at Former Hale Hospital

Barbara J. (Hefferan) Bartlett, 90, the wife of the late Robert L. Bartlett, died Jan. 9 with her loving family by her side.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Martin E. and Theresa (Regan) Hefferan. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School. She was employed at the former Hale Hospital as an administrator, manager at Mr. Mike’s Restaurant, and worked five years at Friendly’s. She also worked at Kings Department Store for 15 years in the shoe department and five years at Market Basket in Plaistow, N.H. as a cashier. She enjoyed playing bingo games at the senior center in Haverhill and loved to travel. A devoted wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bartlett is survived by her children, Robert M. Bartlett and his wife Linda of Haverhill, Linda J. Montibello and her husband Thomas of Hampstead, N.H., and North Port, Fla., four grandchildren, Rebecca Ludvino, Marcy Bartlett, Justin Montibello and Lacey Blake, two great-grandchildren, Beatrice Ludvino and Matilda Ludvino, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Robert, she is predeceased by her brothers Martin E., William P. and Robert T. Hefferan; and sisters Elizabeth A. Sacier and Mary T. Dyment.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Maplewood North Parish Cemetery, 23 Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow, N.H. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence, MA 01843.
