Two Haverhill teenagers are among five people accused of breaking into automobiles Friday, around noon, in Andover.

Andover Police Department arrested two unnamed young men, 16- and 17-years-old, from Haverhill, along with three Lawrence teens. They were all charged with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the daytime with intent to commit a felony after a police foot chase and pursuit by a police dog, according to a statement by Andover Police Chief Patrick Keefe.

Besides the Haverhill teens, 18-year-olds Julio Aybar and Marino Pimentel, both of Lawrence, were named by police, along with another 16-year-old man from Lawrence. The three juveniles also faced outstanding warrants issued out of Lawrence Juvenile Court.

Andover Police were called to the area of Stirling Street after receiving a report that several people, dressed in dark clothing and wearing hoodies, were breaking into cars. Police said they spotted the five attempting to break into a car in the driveway of a home, but the teens ran off.

One of the juveniles was caught immediately, but the others ran into a nearby swamp. With the help of a North Andover Police K-9 unit, police were able to capture the others. All are pending arraignment at either Lawrence District Court or Lawrence Juvenile Court.
