On the heels of Gov. Charlie Baker’s visit to Haverhill to urge a revision in drug legislation, addiction specialist Diana Clark will speak to local families on the opioid crisis.

Based in New Haven, Conn., Clark is a family outreach consultant who travels to meet with families as they deal with addicted loved ones. Clark’s talk, held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Sacred Hearts Church, will focus on Essex County’s anti-drug efforts and the best ways to help those in the community cope.

Clark will also discuss her work with the Turnbridge treatment center and recovery program.

The event is free and open to all.
