Waters Joins Medical Staff at Haverhill Hospital

Dr. Christannah M. Domin Waters has joined the medical staff at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill.

A board certified gynecologist and fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she attended Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Illinois, and then completed two residency training programs in obstetrics and gynecology at University Health Center of Pittsburgh Magee-Womens Hospital, and the University of Chicago. Her areas of special interest are minimally invasive surgery, adolescent gynecology, contraceptive management, abnormal uterine bleeding and preventive medicine.

“We are proud to welcome Dr. Waters to our medical staff. Her knowledge and experience will help us grow our award-winning women’s health and gynecology program,” said hospital President Joseph Roach. “Access to quality women’s health care is vital and we are committed to providing the best possible care to the communities we serve.”

In 2013 the hospital received a five-star rating for gynecologic surgery from Healthgrades, an online resource which researches and compares health care providers, to offer consumers the information they need to make informed decisions.

Waters will join practice with gynecologist Melinda R. Birdsall at Merrimack Valley Surgical Specialties located at Merrimack Medical Center, 62 Brown St., Suite 405 in Haverhill.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Dr. Waters to our practice. It will be a nice fit given the fact that she is a well-known, established practitioner in the area,” said Birdsall.

Waters, a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The American Medical Association, and the Massachusetts Medical Society, was most recently at Women’s Health Care in Haverhill and Georgetown. Previously, she was at Winchester OB/GYN Associates in Woburn.
