$2.8M Main Street Improvement Project is Underway in Haverhill

A $2.8 million state-funded construction project along Main St. got underway last month that promises to coordinate and modernize traffic signals at five of the busiest intersections in the city.

The majority of the work is expected to be completed by this fall and will include new ADA compliant sidewalks, bike lanes, drainage, and an improvement to the roadway and lane alignments.

Construction will run north from the Basiliere bridge up to Kenoza Ave and include the following five intersections:

— Main Street and Merrimack Street/Water Street

— Main Street and Bailey Boulevard/Ginty Boulevard

— Main Street and Winter Street/Summer Street

— Main Street and Arlington Street

— Main Street and Kenoza Avenue
